we walked october 10th for ALs and we had snow on the ground. that's early for Iowa. i am not ready for snow. it's bad enough having the furnace on after having the air on for so long. we're doing ok. bruce has had an inner ear thing going on but he's at work and i've been piddling around here. i'm getting ready to make some freezer meals for a co-worker of bruce's that has ALS. his wife said during the walk that she would appreciate it. so i have the stuff to make lasagna and to make a tator tot casserole and some chicken enchiladas and try to figure out more stuff as i go along. bruce and i are not good leftover people and i wanted to make stuff that she can thaw out and cook rather than reheat. so it's taken some thought and asking people for ideas and i'm also going to be doing some experimenting with some things.
mom is doing so much better. she's gotten off of the narcotic pain pills and she's so much clearer mentally. it's like night and day.
i had a long talk with Uncle Ray yesterday and he is doing good. he was asking me about a Deb Williams which is a cousin of ours. she contacted him on facebook and he had no idea who she was so i explained it and he figured it out. i would do so much better if i didn't spend so much time on facebook. Ha! he's going to be a grandpa anyday now. Mike and Kylie are expecting a little bundle anytime now. we got a cute letter from Kelly's boy, Elijah the other day thanking us for his b'day present.
i had bruce take a package to work yesterday to get it in the mail for my best friend who turned 77 today. it should be there either today or tomorrow. i have to pick up some stamps and take a picture over to mom from elijah. that's all the running i'm doing today. i want to get some stuff accomplished around here.
i was cutting up spaghetti squash to put in the oven to cook then freeze it and i wish i owned a sharp knife. i emailed bruce and told him i'd give one of our great nephews or nieces for a sharp knife.
missy and hammer and jasmine are doing very well. they're all spoiled rotten. jasmine sleeps on my feet every night. i've been having problems sleeping so when i'm restless, she moves. the other night she went in and went to bed without me. better go, have to get lunch started. God Bless, treasa
