spring time has finally arrived

im so glad. we got a railing put on the front of the house and it looks so nice. i got some flower boxes and got some geraniums planted in them and it's really pretty. i have been planting some outside. we got a fence up around the garden and will be planting that this weekend. we bought a new truck about 2 weeks ago. it's a blue 2009 f-150 crewcab and really a nice truck. well, now i think we've bought another one to trade the red one in. bruce went over to dewey's and signed the purchase agreement and they're doing a few things to it. this one is a king cab and i am so excited. it has a foot longer box on it than the others we've had. but it's really a nice truck. i think we'll pick it up on saturday as we have to have his blue truck at charles gabus ford tomorrow morning for some safety recall. mom is doing ok. she still has pain but she's not taking as many of the strong pain pills. she's been able to go out and get her groceries and such. i haven't talked to uncle ray for quite a while. i made 2 batches of strawberry-rhubarb jam today. God has blessed us so much with the wonderful rhubarb that i wanted to make some jam. we're going to put in some tomatoes, definitely green beans, some corn, zucchini and some yellow squash (for me) onions, i don't know what else. we're a little late this year but whenever he could get out and get it tilled, it would start raining.

i started a compost pile and we firgured out where to keep it. i have to go out tomorrow and try and stir it up a little. i'm excited about that because we have alot to compost that normally goes down the disposal. we've been doing yard work and getting the place spruced up. bruce mowed this week. i have been planting. i want to get some peony bushes for the side of the deck and get them planted and maybe, just maybe, the dogs won't destroy them. HA! we're talking of taking the boat out this weekend also. that will be fun. i better go as bruce has an appointment and he'll be here soon to pick me up. take care and God bless, treasa
