another day in paradise

we went to bible study last night and had a good lesson. i really like mark and jody, our pastor and his wife. they are really wonderful people. when we got home, hammer had the runs in his porta kennel and we cleaned that out and i gave him a bath and let him outside for a while and he went again, then around 4 a.m. he was whining and bruce let him out and finally put him in his outdoor kennel and this time it looked like there was some blood in the stool so i called the vet and took him to the vet's office this morning. they're going to check him out. i have an appointment for a haircut and a pedicure at noon so have to get ready for that. mom goes to see dr. gannon tomorrow morning early (FINALLY!) and i have to have over there at 8:45. i am 124.4 this morning. i am starting to keep track of my weight so when i go see dr. gannon on the 13th, she can see that i'm stuck. we went for a bike ride last night and i enjoyed it thoroughly. we went up around this little trail where there's a pond and it was a good ride. it was a little chilly but i enjoyed it. maybe this will help get these extra 4 pounds off. i just need to learn about the different gears on the bike and remind myself to sit back in the seat. we also bought what they call a trainer which is something to make your bike stationary so when the weather is bad, i can take the bike downstairs and work on it there. my knees are a little sore but i took some extra tylenol last night. the ride was further than we had gone before. i have today's sudoku in my purse all ready for the pedicure. that's my thing lately, it started last summer when bruce was going through all he was going through. i started working on the sudoku and am hooked. there are some days i can't get it but most i can get. it just takes concentration. i better go. i have a cupboard to straighten out to get ready for more pans. they've shipped so should be here soon. God Bless, treasa

  1. Thank you so much for all the sweet treats! I had some toast with the strawberry-cranberry and it was AMAZING! I shared a few jars with my neighbor, who watched our cats while we were away. I thought they may enjoy it. Thanks for the Bible too. It meant a lot to Michael and we will cherish it. We realized that their anniversary was the same year we were born! Fun!! Have a great day!
